Dental and Admin staff are friendly. They walk you through the process. The operation I had was painless and quick. Really good value for your hard earned moneys.

As someone who has an anxious nature especially about dentistry I have never felt at ease or looked forward to dental visits, until I found Blockhouse Bay Dental, the amazing staff are so helpful and friendly and my dentist Haydn has a calming nature and explains what's happening in simple and easy to understand language. Pain free dentistry is possible!!

What a wonderful experience, I am usually a big scaredy cat when it comes to going to the dentist, but Peter and Rose make such a good team and put me at ease when doing my root canal. I would highly recommend going to Blockhouse Bay Dental Center to anyone who is due for a check up. Peter was very thorough, explaining everything to me in laymans terms and making me feel right at home, plus his collection of photography is amazing! I would even go as far as to say that I'm looking forward to my next visit. Thanks guys - See you in a few weeks! 

I recently made my first Visit to the dentist in 10 years, this was a friendly and pain free experience. Thanks to Peter, Laura and Rose.

I had to take my 9 year old daughter to see my dentist (Dr Haydn Gray) recently to get a small filling done.  She was very nervous after having a lot of procedures done at a paediatric specialist who promised no pain but delivered quite a bit by the sound of it.  So I knew it was time to take her to Haydn. An injection, which she insists she didn't feel at all, and a quick procedure and she was all done.  what a very happy and  relieved child. Haydn is fantastic.  He is an excellent Dentist and explains everything well.  I didn't faint at the charges (unlike at the Specialists in Remuera) so that was a good thing too. Happy child now not afraid of going to the Dentist.  You rock Haydn!! Thank you.

Initially I was too shy to contact a Dental Surgery regarding my badly worn and basically UGLY teeth, due to past health issues. My sister ended up emailing Dr Hayden Gray from Blockhouse Bay Dental Centre. She received a reply straight away and not only that, it was informative and understanding of my situation. My first consultation was daunting, but Hayden, Tracy (Best Dental Assistant Ever) and the lovely ladies at reception/administration were very supportive and made me feel that I had come to the right place. There was a lot of thought, preparation and consideration put into the work that I have had -and it shows. I had to have a full mouth restoration done, which included readjusting my bite.  The time spent on my teeth, even when I was not there was incredible. Hayden put in so much effort and thought into creating a smile that I was proud of and I am forever grateful for this.  I enjoyed coming to my dentist appointments (how many people can actually say that?!) not just because I was getting the teeth of my dreams but because they are such lovely people with the utmost wonderful attitude and sense of humour! I have lost count of the hours I spent in that chair,( in total - about 20 hours maybe more! ) and I have always had faith in Hayden's abilities.  Not only that, but Hayden was extremely understanding of my budget and worked with me on that, giving me price breakdowns so I knew what was going on every step of the way. My last day was today, and I have gone from insecure and never smiling, to beaming and showing off my gorgeous teeth. Something I never, ever thought I'd have again.  So thank you so much Hayden, you are the best Dentist ever.

When I first came to bhb dental, I came to get a referral to have a tooth removed at the hospital under general anaesthetic.  My fear of dentistry was extreme to the point where previous dentists would suggest hospital as an option as my fear of the needles and drills was extreme. The reception staff are amazing. So friendly, kind and caring.  Peter is amazing and clearly passionate about his work, where he not only treats you, but also teaches you how to care for your teeth and gums on a daily basis.  I have now had many procedures done by Peter including having 2 teeth surgically removed and I honestly didn't feel a thing.  The staff were lovely and called me the next day to ensure I was ok.  Going to bhb dental, I know that the staff really do care for their clients and have their best interests at heart.  They go above and beyond, and I am never nervous to see Peter.  The hygeinist is also fantastic, friendly, and really helpful in teaching how to care for our teeth and is totally pain free.  I am truly blessed to have an amazing dental clinic to go to and even have a bonus of seeing some fantastic pictures while I'm there.  I am moving to Wellington in a few years but will definitely be flying up to Auckland whenever I need any dental work done (they're that good).  It's great to go to the dentist and not feel any nervousness at all.
