The food is great and has such cariety

They have the cronuts . I wasn’t bothered about them until I tried these ones.

You can't go past Bordeaux Bakery for its sweet treats – it's no exaggeration to say that its cronuts have taken Wellington by storm. But it's also a solid choice for a lunch to-go, given its range of baguettes, quiches, and savoury cabinet food. (You'd probably want to get a cronut anyway for after, though...) Vive la France, I say.

Awesome quality & we’ll priced! Try the French toast

Bordeaux is French for cake - or it should be. These wee French cafes throughout the city have some of the most excellent pastry and cake you can find. Their cronuts are killer (interpret that how you will) while the Royale (custard-filled, iced pastry with chocolate) is ideal for when you need a big cakey sugar hit!

Bordeaux Bakery was among the first places in Wellington to start selling croinuts, a cross between a donut and a croissant that’s the most trendy development in baked goods since the macaron (cupcakes are so passe). After the success of the original, Bordeaux has branched into flavours, including white chocolate – recommended only for those with the sweetest of sweet teeth.

Cronuts. They’re like donuts. But better. And with custard. And deliciousness. Sweet tooth was almost satiated with this delight.

You're spoilt for choice when you go to Bordeaux Bakery but you can't go wrong with their macarons.  In an assortment of flavours and sizes it might take a while to choose which to have but rest assured you'll be hard pressed to find a dud.  If you're heading to a friend's for dinner, they make perfect little gifts for your host.  How could anyone turn down somthing so adorable and delicious?

Every Sunday morning these guys have a little stall down at the harbour side markets and there is no better hangover cure than one of their delicious pastries. They happen to sell the king of all treats - the cronut - it's a more decadent version of your everyday doughnut and once you taste one your life will be complete! It's made from croissant pastry, covered in cinnamonny sugar and best of all...filled with a amazingly creamy custard filling. You can finish it off with a flat white from the little green caravan!

Bordeaux is located just out of town on Thorndon Quay, but if you’re after a little taste of French heaven, then it’s definitely worth the extra five minutes drive! With their ongoing list of amazing freshly baked bread, the delectable French cakes and slices, and the always eye catching, tastebud-watering croquembouche; are reason enough to pop in and try just what this primo French bakery is made of!
