Automotive Repairs & WOF
I'm new to the four-wheeler scene as of the beginning of the week, but I did know that a good "pet mechanic" is both a) difficult to find these days and b) very important, particularly with my zippy little 1990 Mazda MX5 roadster. Cue Localist for finding not only a well-raved about mechanic but one that happens to be one block over from my house, and you have a major problem that was fixed in the matter of a day with no dramas and (most importantly) very little cost. These guys were friendly, communicative and very helpful, giving my little "Jupiter" a 15min once-over free of charge and fixing her all in a matter of hours - I was totally blown away after all the horror stories I've heard about cars and their issues. I've kind of been left wondering... what's all the fuss about it? It's a simple equation: low cost, smart people, available resources and your four-wheeled friend will be back on the hop in no time. A formula one for mechanics all around.
I would highly recommend Browning Automotive as a great local mechanic - friendly, efficient and honest. Always happy to take my car along here and they never make you feel like you're stupid for not knowing car-related things. The receipts they give for work done are also very detailed, great records to keep for the future. I would highly recommend these guys!
