Bucklands Crossing is so secret we found very few mentions on the net!

Lucky for you, we've been tipped off that this wee river valley off Ram Rock Road is worth the travel.

Fresh water is the only way to go here so head here while it's warm enough to.

Buckland's crossing is amazing it is my favorite camping spot and my family has been camping there for 35 years now and we go every year it is so amazing I just can not get over it. You can find us there every year after Christmas we spend the first half of the day setting up our tents with our grandparents and cousins and the reast of out family then me, my cousins, and siblings's spend pretty much lots of our time swimming and the road up above is nice for walking up and down. And a special on new years eve we go up the road to collect pine cones then we stay up all night eating roasted marshmellows until new years eve and Buckland's was very busy for a coupl of years but now its just us and some other random people so I highly recommend it. You can find us on the web - The Oat family at Buckland's Crossing.

A local favourite, I love Bucklands Crossing because it is a great little secret swimming spot. There’s loads of fantastic grassy areas for picnicking and playing sport. The best part of Bucklands is the slow moving river with rope swing!

A secret swimming spot in Dunedin, Bucklands Crossing is a local favourite. To be found off the main road and over the rolling hills of Otago, Bucklands is a great spot for camping, picnics or just swimming. The slow moving river is complete with rope swing too!
