Cafe Midnight Express

I can not praise this place enough...The friendly service makes me feel like a regular...probably because the food has made me into one!! The mezze platter is my one true love washed down with a good selection of red wines! I also can't help but love the vegetarian moussaka so much so it's a stretch to try something new but I have... and I can vouch for the fact that there is so much on the menu that I love! If you wants a well priced relaxing meal in the CBD this is a must go! P.s they have a belly dancer performer on a Friday and Saturday as an added fun factor!

We celebrate all our family occasions here. We love it. The food is great, the staff are fantastic. I do not eat meat or any animal products and they are always happy to accommodate my eating style. We can go here as a family and know beforehand that we will all have a wonderful meal in a fantastic atmosphere. I couldn't recommend them enough!

The most delicious Turkish/Middle Eastern restaurant, with a massive and affordable menu that caters to everyone. The vegetarian mezze is killer. This place is also BYO, so it’s ideal for a group dinner.

The Turkish style food is sooooo good! It's the kind of restaurant I feel comfortable eating alone in if in Auckland on business. Love the cosy style atmosphere also.

Had dinner here a few nights ago. The portions were huge! And I didn't have to sit there and wait for my meal for ages - they were so busy too.

We've had many work meals here, both dinner and lunch, and everyone is always very satisfied. The prices are quite varied, and some of the cheaper dishes are actually much better value. The drinks selection isn't great, but if you're just having lunch then that's less of an issue. Over all it's pretty decent, and given the location, can be quite popular. Make sure you book big groups!

I've been here a few times now and the service has been great each time.  The restaurant seems to fit a lot in a small space but still feel reasonably comfortable. My most recent visit was fr a friends birthday.  The staff were very patient when we didn't order until 45 minutes after the booking due to late-comers.  Their patience in letting us do that was fantastic.  The food was very delicious, filling and reasonably priced for a restaurant. Friday night also feature a belly dancer who is not only talented, but is very interactive with the patrons, getting several of us up to dance and teaching us how to do it. My only bugbear was the recycling bin was right outside the back window and our conversations were occasionally interrupted by the sounds of bottles crashing into a bin. Overall, I will definitely return here again
