Visiting the summer market and relaxing watching a film projected on to the concrete silo with a blanket and a bottle of wine! Not to mention the selection of great food trucks!

Couldn’t help but add relaxing at the beach in the sun with a great selection of cafes and facility’s over looking Ragatoto!

Camping out only 45minutes is great for a quick night away…you can surf or horse ride, walk the cliffs or just walk up to the top of the hill for great views which take your breath away! Perfect!

In my option the only way to see this great park is to walk or bike to it, relax with a picnic and take in the sun and the surrounding area! A large piece of green in the city!

Who on a hot summers day can resist an ice cream? Well I can’t! And these ones not fail to impress! New Zealand made ice cream with flair! Yes to the ice cream sandwich made with cookies of your choice! Yes to ice cream on a hot summers day!

For me one of the best days out has to be to hire a bike and enjoy the new cycle paths Auckland has to offer…From taking them just for fish and chips to Mission Bay/ St Heliers to a full day out to Waiheke Island so I can tour the winery!

I Love bikes….and i love going to Woodhill to try out the trails…all well sign posted and a great set up if you like an adventure for all levels of bikers!

I love a walk around the Zoo…Its great value for money as i could spend all day there!

Get a Fullers ferry to this island… You can walk it by yourself or get the $5 guided tour which will teach you all about the birds and wildlife being re introduced to the island… Have a hike around…learn something….And take a picnic as theres no shop….Which i really like….sometimes….

Some much to love about Takapuna beach. Me? I like to cycle there from the CBD via the Devonport Ferry, then relax on the beautiful long beach with an ice cream. But there is lots of paddle boarding and watersports activities there to keep you entertained

What a fantastic view of the city…You can drive over it but you won’t get as high as doing the bridge climb with the added option of bungy…You do pay to get this view…but your also paying for a great experience!

Fantastic view point of the city, great to take out of town visitors as there lots of cafes around the area to stop off as well and its not too far from the CBD! Oh yes and its Free! :) Always a Plus

This is a massive park which is similar to Mt Eden…I do prefer the view from Mt Eden but this is great if you want a full day out enjoying the surrounding park!

So you want a relaxed day out…I can’t think of anything better on my day off than relaxing on Waiheke Island enjoying a glass (or 2) of wine looking back across the sea to Auckland and the sky tower!
