Cameron Pool

We've been coming to the Cameron Pool for swimming lessons and also the swim club (Roskill Swim Magic) for several years now. Although the pool facilities are in need of an upgrade, the changing areas are fine although like most pool changing rooms, a little damp! I haven't been to the gym but when I'm there, it's a hub of activity and well intentioned bodies. The spa pool is always bubbling away with quite a few bodies, I don't think I've ever seen it empty. The reason I've given this four stars is really because I've been so impressed with the staff, and I'd name names but my memory's shocking! They're always super friendly and very helpful - a big thank you to them.

I come here quite often, in the weekends it's full of kids, but the weekdays are lovely! It's less popular than Mt Albert, which makes a great place for those less confident swimmers. It has a seperate kids pool so less children playing in the swimming lanes. Nice spa, the sauna is great too!

 This is the pool where I more or less learnt to swim to the level I am today, the pool where I first snuck into a sauna and thought "why would anyone ever do this to themself?" On entry I was pleasantly suprised to find a very good student price - $4.50 including sauna, steam and spa. The changing rooms were a step up from Bellevue Road's cattle cleaning rooms, with nice rimu seats and rubber mats on the floor - not sure if I'm sold on these yet as seems like they could trap bugs between the cracks. After a few laps, I went to the sauna. Impressive. No one else in there, a much larger space then most, a self - regulating sauna (eliminating splash-and-dash) , and a lot of bench space. Overall , a good sauna / swim experience. The complex also has a spa, but spa's are for the weak , or the community minded .
