If you find yourself in Timaru and in need of doing something that’s not going to involve you pulling out your wallet, head down to Caroline Bay Park. This Edwardian-style park is glorious! I love the flowers, the war memorial, and of course, the beach. You may get lucky and spot a Hector’s dolphin or two.
