Troy Cassidy and his assistant Maggie provided me as a customer with a very high quality of "old fashion" customer service and attention. The attention to detail shown in the initial eye examination and advice with correct eyewear was personalised and accurate. If you are looking for value for money and "real" customer service then I highly recommend Cassidy Eyecare.
Efficient but very thorough examination with a good mix of professional knowledge and modern equipment. The ability to convey the technical for the layman was appreciated and combined with the friendly approach made for a reassuring experience. I received great advice about what works in frames. I left having purchased a new pair of glasses, had my old frames fitted with new lenses and added a pair of sunglasses for good measure. All this was at a very reasonable price. I'd go to this owner-operator over a chain in a mall any day.
I live on Waiheke and the Optometrist here, Eyezone, closed. I really miss having a local Optometrist. When seeing became fuzzy I knew it was time to head off to have an eye examination, I had heard really negative feed back about Spec Savers, and also I wanted to support a fully operated owned NZLand business so I asked around and I heard about Troy Cassidy and Cassidy Eyecare through another Waihekean, they said Cassidy Eyecare takes time over you and your eye health no rush examinations, and the great selection of glasses frames, and really good quality sunglasses.. So I booked an apptmnt ,making sure I had a fun day in Auckland. I caught the ferry and then the train and in no time was in New Lynn then 3 mins I arrived. Maggie is the receptionist, lovely woman, honestly the whole experience was great, I felt like I was listened to, and that myself and the health of my eyes was important to Troy Cassidy. I now have a Optometrist hopefully for the rest of my long life, I used my day well I went to the movies ate lunch out enjoyed Lynn Mall. All over great experience. Am definetly recommending Cassidy Eyecare to other friends.
