Cedar Cottage Soaps handcraft 100% natural herbal soaps, lip balms, salves and creams. All their soaps are made from pure plant oils, herbs, butters and essential oils.

Gentle enough for the most sensitive skin, Cedar Cottage also produce a range of specialty soaps for skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, and the very popular calendula cream - wonderful for healing.

All soaps are handmade & handcut. Each bar of soap will differ slightly from batch to batch.

There's also a great range of locally made crafts available in store.

Yes, this place has the best handmade soaps in New Zealand, but more importantly they are also an amateur bird rescue centre. This means you’re likely to have peacocks, geese, ducks and parrots hopping about your legs as you chat with the incredibly nice folk who run this joint, and as you pick from their stock, like neem soap, goats milk, lemongrass and almond … pine tar
