Colonel Malone's Bar & Restaurant

I’ve been loving this pub a lot lately, although I don’t swing round for a visit as much as I’d like, it still holds a special place it my heart where I know I always feel welcome. They don’t even know me, yet the staff treat me like a best mate; with some of that great kiwi attitude! Their meals are definitely a winner for me too, with the portions huge for a decent price, that’s what makes a good restaurant in my books!

This is one of the best places to go in Stratford with the family, whether it’s just for a quick catch up drink or a long sit down meal, I really can’t fault the place! They cater for kids, and the oldies, with an awesome outdoor area to enjoy you meal at! Their crowd pleaser is definitely their scallop dish, crumbed to perfection with their crispy fries and a salad!

Colonel Malone’s is a restaurant that you can come into once, but still remember it for a lifetime, it’s that good. That was the case with me anyway, I came in for a family member’s birthday dinner and boy was I not disappointed! I had a poached chicken breast that had been stuffed with cream cheese, roasted capsicum, and honey then wrapped in bacon... Absolutely delicious!
