The Crafty Tout Brewing Company is a restaurant and microbrewery with a distinctly Austrian twist, located right by the domain in the centre of Taupo. All of the tap beers (and cider as well) are produced in the on-site brewery, and have distinctly 'fishy' names.

Sample a pint of Hook, Line, or Sinker - options ranging from Viennese amber ale to dark and roasty porter.

A great place to relax with friends over a beer or three, and even play a game of 'Hammerschlagen' - the Austrian nail hammering game that's harder than it looks!

The shop downstairs offers a range of trout-related gift items

Love stopping by the Craft Trout Brewing Co after a day at the snow. With an endless selection of craft beeI rs available, you’ll be sure to find one for your thirsty tastebuds. If you’re after something lightly hopped, try the Line Taupo pale Ale. Always a winner.

    If you love all things beer, than you will love the Crafty Trout Brewing company. It's a fine specimen of a microbrewery, and you're sure to find something that will delight your tastebuds. If you want to go the extra beer mile, try their calamari in beer and vodka batter. yum!

      LOVE going to the crafty trout!! Awsome locally brewed beer & amazing friendly service makes you feel at home! Also learnt I can carry 5 steins on each hand how about that!
