Just a short walk from the town centre, Deluca is an unpretentious cafe located in what was an old retail space. With friendly staff and a relaxed vibe, the modern interior is clean and spacious, with indoor seating and a couple of streetside tables.

Serving Supreme coffees and a menu of delicious breakfast and lunch meals, their cabinets are packed to the brim with a range of freshly baked savouries and sweet treats.

Regulars rave about their tasty cronuts, beetroot quiche, homemade cinnamon buns and luxurious muffins.

Arrive early to grab a table as they get very busy at times!

These guys do some of the best food and coffee in whangarei. I love taking my mum here and spoiling her with some of their yummy caramel muffins. The only thing is they're closed on Sundays so make sure you get to them another day.

    ‘Having eyes bigger than your stomach’ is exactly what affects me when I waltz into Deluca. I instantly want one of everything. From their healthy, crisp salads to their gooey, sweet brioches. Some of my top picks from the menu include the kumura stack with a poached egg, salmon and hollandaise or the pancakes served with sticky, salted caramel. You can’t go wrong in this joint as they’ve got their cuisine down-pat!

      This is my number one coffee spot in Whangarei. The interior is industrial chic, modern and clean. Their coffee and food are even better! Their coffee is strong and flavoursome (but not bitter like some places) and their lattes come in groovy little glasses. When I was there last I got the most amazing caramel muffin that was all gooey on the inside. Absolute heaven, go and see for yourself!
