While working in New Lynn this cafe and shop was a great find. Delicious, good value, filling salads. Light airy open room. The attached shop has everything good for you that you could ever want or need.

They simply stock beautiful produce. Any health conscious human in Auckland should know about this place! A revitalising place in itself to visit with warm, friendly vibes.

I discovered East West Organics years ago when it first opened in Glen Eden, so my ears pricked up when I heard more than one of my virtuous foodie friends raving about their new New Lynn branch in Portage Road complete with a great organic cafe. Love this place - it's warm and real, you can shop for in-season food that nurtures you naturally, buy gluten-free and artisan breads from the bakery, consult with knowledgeable staff (including an in-store naturopath) , or simply enjoy delicious, home-made food from Ethos, their in-store cafe. I'm a salad fiend and on sight I could see the salads are jam packed with goodness and energy. Yum! The coffee is is ethically-traded as well as organic but there's also a fabulous selection of loose teas and smoothies. I was also taken by the 'ingredients menu', a great wee feature that profiles superfoods and interesting ingredients - it taught me, and I liked that. In fact the entire visit inspired me, a reminder about how good food that really feeds the body and soul can feel.

This is a fantastic one-stop shop for all things organic. My favourite are the bulk bins full of beans, nuts, seeds, and other delicious foodstuffs that are a staple in my cooking, great for stocking up.

This is a revolutionary natural foods superstore, the kind that's never been seen in New Zealand before. Not only do they stock a wide range of organic products but they are working hard to make sure prices are as cheap as possible. But as a passionate botanist, the real reason I visit every few weeks is that there is a fantastic heritage garden centre and because I can get a bite to eat at the in-house Ethos Cafe. There's a gutsy new breakfast menu and my friend says the gluten-free coconut hot cakes are a must-try!

Amazing organic supermarket for all the essentials but it also has an amazing cafe which is vegaterian and has loads of fresh salads.
