Really like the vegetarian dishes and cabinet food on offer here. Reasonably priced. Like the funky décor. Such a convenient place to meet up with friends as it’s easy for everyone to find! I’ve always found the staff pleasant and relaxed.

Went to Enigma after tramping all day and was starving! I was overly impressed with their beef burger and chips as it was so tasty, huge and full of flavour. Will definitely be back to this great restaurant! #shoutme

This funky cafe is in the middle of everything and always filled with a mixture of students and young professionals. Grab a latte and do some work on your laptop or meet a group of friends for some yummy sandwiches. Also check out the outdoor courtyard.

Such a fun, up-beat cafe in the city. It suits Wellington so perfectly with it's awesome designs and friendly service, and good generous servings of cafe food. #cafetab

Enigma Cafe - my cafe of choice in Wellington, staff are awsum.

While the gender politics of their Elvira-inspired pinball machine may be suspect, the pure exhilaration of smashing a tiny chrome sphere with paddles viewed through glass will never be suspect.

This quirky cafe is located amongst the hustle and bustle of Courtney Place. Open all sorts of ridiculous hours, every night of the week. They provide a great range of cabinet food and their menu is one of the cheapest in town. Enigma are prepared for anything with liquor licsence and ice cream counter.

There’s something about the eclectic, barely holding itself together aesthetic that seems to exist to just encourage reflection. There’s nothing like a long black and a long night of the soul to make a visit to Enigma really memorable.

Enigma is my go-to spot when I need a bit of a break on my walk home from Thorndon. Steer clear of their massive salads and sandwiches in favor of a heaping bowl of wedges, affordable at $6 and perfect for sharing. While I’m not usually a fan, the iced mocha at Enigma is a bit addictive– watch out.

Enigma cafe is a lovely cafe right on courtenay place. decorated with spray paint, and posters sets off an ‘alty’ which is totally in right now, but relaxed vibe. I would definitely recommend the wedges with bacon and cheese, wow. unless lactose is a problem then hold the cheese. Their Baristas never get it wrong either. You can always expect a perfect coffee everytime.
