Federal café is an all-time favourite café of mine to come have a coffee, have a bite to eat, or just have some chill time with friends. They always serve fresh food that keeps me coming back for more to the point of craving it at least once a week! I’m not sure why but I really love milkshakes in winter time, despite it being cold there it’s something I’ve always done and takes me back to being a kid again; Federal have the most amazing selection available too!

    Federal store is a well-loved little café and deli located in Strandon, and is my absolute favourite place to get a bagel. They do an extra special one with smoked salmon, cream cheese and salad greens, and I can’t stress enough how delicious it is! It’s so cute how they serve it on a little wooden chopping board too!

      Their thick shakes are delicious, as are their custard squares. Good point for an afternoon tea treat, and very cool interior decor. #shoutme

        Federal doesn't have a huge menu, but what is on the menu is delicious. They do really good burgers! The cafe has awesome kitsch decor too - a great NP hangout. #cafetab

          This has to be my favourite Cafe. It has amazing food and I really love the way they have created an alternative look about the cafe, bringing in old ideas.

            Federal store is that quirky, retro cafe you can go to and always get excellent service. Despite it being always busy, there is a nice and friendly atmosphere. Everything is freshly prepared that same day, and is beautifully presented behind shiny cabinets. The food is mouthwatering and consists sandwiches, salads and meals to order. Its very 'my kind of style' and I feel quite comfortable when I'm in there.

              My Fav stop. Have meetings there and the food is amazing.

                The Federal store is a hive of activity. They serve local Ozone coffee here, and it is always made to perfection. The style of the cafe really makes it stand out- it is a mix of cool 1950s Americana and kitsch Kiwi retro- even the staff uniforms are super cute! There is always a mouth watering layout of food and cakes, as well as an open kitchen if you want to order off the menu. And- trust me- everything tastes as good as it looks!
