FishSmith Fish & Chips

The spiced fish tacos here will change your life. Well probably not but afterwards you'll be all "damn those were some good fish tacos". Also I'm pretty sure I saw the chef MC'ing a comedy show in Wellington and that dude is hilarious. Comedic chefs aside I love the options available here which are way jazzier than your average fish shop and the fish is always fresh and cooked perfectly. Won't go anywhere else in the city for good fish and chips or life changing tacos. Cheers Fish Smith!

When I grilled my friends about their favourite fish and chip shop in central Auckland, FishSmith continually came in as the catch of the day. It's all because of the wide selection on offer and the fact that every time out of the gate, this chipper delivers a top-quality feed. Located in Herne Bay, it's a little bit posh, just as you'd expect. So if your palette is more refined then you can choose from a wide selection of less traditional fare. My favourites are the smoked fish pie croquette - now that's a twist on a 70s classic. Enjoy!
