I organised a get together with my old work colleagues at Grand Thai (Formerly Lemongrass House) Restaurant in the heart of Hamilton (opposite the Novotel Hotel) and we were thoroughly impressed with the service, attentiveness and the beautifully presented food that tasted delicious. Most of us had the set menu (Great banquet style for a group of people) and were treated to an array of entree options, followed by an assortment of traditional Thai dishes to please everyone's taste buds with the different flavours. They provided lots of white rice and we got to try brown rice, which was rich in flavour. We finished off with dessert that included icecream and fruit salad with a beautifully sliced fresh apple in a boat dish. The restaurant 's staff were friendly and professional and their service and food is the best I have experienced in both Hamilton and New Zealand. We enjoyed the atmosphere and slice of Thailand that they have brought through the unique Thai inspired decor where you feel like you are in Thailand itself. I highly recommend trying out this restaurant and will definitely be back to try out some different dishes and enjoy some of my favorites again.
