A must visit, Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa is certainly an iconic landmark in Canterbury. The hot pools are very popular for their therapeutic qualities and a great place to unwind.

    A trip to Hanmer wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa. Get a private pool or hang with the masses at this top tourist desination in Canterbury. I love it!

      An absolute tourist hotspot, this is the one place that everyone goes to when they visit Hanmer Springs. The geothermal pools are known to have therapeutic and healing abilities and is best enjoyed in the middle of winter when you're surrounded by snow!

        This is one of the best hot pools in New Zealand, whatever the weather. Hanmer Springs is a natural thermal resort and the Hammer hot pools in the middle of town is the place to come to enjoy a good soak. The hubby and I visited during our honeymoon and whiled away a few glorious hours in the healing thermal waters. I've also been here after a three-day rave in the Southern Alps and the hottest pool at Hanmer was the best way to soothe my calves after an intense dancing experience.
