In a nice setting surrounded by trees and rivers, the Hard Antler Bar and Restaurant is hunting-themed with a vast array of deer antlers adorning the ceiling.
Enjoy some good home cooking by the cosy fire, or dine outside in the summer.
With a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, they offer a good selection of lunch and dinner options and are famous for their tasty fish and chips.
After dinner, you can grab a cold beer and mingle with the locals who like to hang out at the bar and play pool.

A fantastic community bar and restaurant, Haast’s Hard Antler has some great meals, not to mention their chicken burger with crumbed chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onion and aioli.

    The good folk at Hard Antler know how to show you a good time. They even have a courtesy car to drive you home in after a long night / morning watching the world cup rugby.

      This Haast restaurant is pretty darn cool. Not only is the name pretty rad but the fish and chips are some of the best in town! Although if you’re a vegetarian you may not like the the antlers hanging from the ceiling

        This place is great! The Hard Antler Bar and Restaurant has the perfect setting, set amongst beautiful native bush. Despite deer antlers featuring heavily in this restaurant, it is still vegetarian friendly! Expect great home cooking in a very cosy restaurant with an amazing fire place!
