This would be the most quintessentially vegetarian place in Whangarei. Not a whisper of meat will pass this restaurants door! They often have lines out the door and serve an epic feed for a koha. Give generously if you can as it’s a good cause. It means others not so fortunate can eat for free.

    Good for you, and good for the community. Hare Krishna Food for Life runs on a koha basis for those who can afford it, and all proceeds go towards their expanding school lunch programme. For $5-$10, or as much as you can give, you’ll get a hearty, delicious, vegetarian meal, but you need to grab your chances - the beautiful people running this place open up Tues, Wed, Thurs, from 12pm-2pm.
