Huia Beach Store & Cafe

Nicely located across from Huia beach this local store has character. The staff in there are friendly, kids are chowing down their ice cream while you’re enjoying a bite to eat with coffee….the store can be quiet at times but this is to be expected in such a small village. Not many people know of this piece of paradise called Huia which can somewhat be a blessing. Keep up the awesome hospitality!!!

We have got into a wee habit of visiting the Huia Beach Store and Cafe after we take the dog for a play at Kakamatua Inlet.  As it is about 25mins to the beach from home it's nice to drive just 5-10mins further afterwards and get some fish and chips and either eat at the cafe or as we did take it across the road to the beach and sit and eat as the sun disappears for the day.  Each time we have been the food has been lovely and we have always had service with a smile.  Our only comment was that the last time we went the store seemed a liitle empty but I assume they were awaiting deliveries.

Friendly §taff and excellent coffee. Takeaway food is up there too
