The place to go for wine and tapas in Newmarket. Nice atmosphere and great service.

    Have loved the menu and interesting wine list there for a year, but what has grown on me in my last two visits is the incredible service. Each staff member I've encountered has taken their time to talk about wines, pair them with foods, and offer tastes of new wines to make sure we get just what we want.

      Had tapas and a great syrah, very classy and glamorous location. Love it

        Beer at a wine bar? Yes! Enjoy beautiful craft beer with great tapas in this quaint little bar. Love it!

          Great little wine bar in newmarket, reasonably priced and also great for a drink with friends and you want to hear them talk! Good service too.

            A quaint tapas bar on Remuera road that’s definitely worth a visit if you’re after a drink and a few nibbles. Warm and inviting, it’s the kind of place you could sit with friends for hours. The only downside is the price - it is quite expensive for the size of the tapas. You wouldn’t want to have ‘dinner’ there unless you were willing to spend quite a bit. Overall though, I’ll be popping back in for a nice glass of vino!

                  Awesome little place for tapas, intimate atmosphere and somewhere you don't have to shout over the music to have a conversation! Great collection of NZ craft beers and single malt whiskies Stunning contemporary tapas menu with really fresh ingredients and cool Asian and kiwi influences, love it! Great service too -- Friendly and unintrusive, really relaxed and knowledgeable!

                    The only spot in Newmarket for a civilized drink and a bite to eat. Just a few steps from the hustle and busle of Broadway, Jax is an oasis where a wearied shopper can sit back to enjoy a quiet coffee, bite to eat or make a selection from the well appointed wine and beer menus.
