I havent done a degustation for a long time, a very long time. Thanks covid. But we finally decided due to my partners belated birthday & our impending anniversary to do it. We chose Kazuya and omg it was the best gourmet foodie culinary experience I have had in way too long. We chose the premium 7 course menu at $195 snd got yo upgrade to crayfish & wagyu and have our menu designed specifically for us. This was over 7 courses of heaven, texture experiences, flavour delights & surprises. The staff snd service was exceptional. I was on a high the week following every time I thought about the experience. An absolute must if you call yourself a foodie, this place is a gem. We will be back!! Soon I hope.

Incredible food. The degustation leaves you feeling full yet light. Great service too, including the wine waiter. Will definitely be back

A night at Kazuya is part fine dining, part performance art. Each course of the degustation menu was presented in a theatrical yet elegant way, such as the salmon that was brought out with plumes of smoke, the stunning colour palette of their signature 'Texture' dish and a quirky dessert with a surprise (I won't spoil it for you!) that ended the meal on a high note. As we were leaving, the head chef himself came out to say goodbye and present us with take-home gifts! An absolutely memorable experience.

Hidden behind an unassuming large white door on Symonds St is a dining experience not quite like anything else in Auckland. French cuisine meets Japanese degustation flair - done exceptionally well.

Beautiful food - art on a plate. Excellent service too!
