I can spend hours shopping here. The staff here are friendly and know their product. It's not the cheapest place to buy your plants but they have great deals on multible buys. The qualifty of their plants are very good and they always flower and produce good fruit. They have a great cafe as well, so if your tired after a morning of browsing for plants, you can relax with a cuppa.

Apart from the really small parking lot this place is great, good range and helpful staff. I went to get things to re pot a Bonsai tree. Got the soil, fertilizer and the staff member even suggested some new pebbles to layer the base of the tree with. So armed with all these I left happy, wasn't even there for more than 10mins so even more thrilled :)

I'm a fan of Kings Plant Barn. The service here is great; the staff really seem to know what they're talking about! The only downside is that they're so popular that they're often out of stock. Get in early in the morning, or first thing Saturday to get what you're after.

Live the selection of plants, pots, garden accessories. Cafe is basic, food slightly average - way too many sugary options. Good for Granparents

This isn't the biggest garden centre in town, it doesn't have the biggest range or the lowest prices but they have smart offers (discounts on multiple veggie pots or hedging plants)  and it's well laid out. But all of that aside, it's the staff in this place that makes me come back again and again. They're friendly and helpful without trailing around behind you trying to upsell, management have obviously hired with an eye on knowledge of, and interest in, the product and they genuinely do go the extra mile to get you what you want - and help you to your car with it.

Ok so yes, I love plant barn, I can happily spend a good couple of hours spending far too much money on plants here!! The main staff are very helpful (though I have noticed recently some of the younger staff aren't always so friendly, and I was given wrong advice on sweet pea flowers- before xmas I asked if there were anymore sweet pea flowers coming in and I was looked at as if I was stupid and told no- it was now too late. But then I went back a week or two later and they had them in stock! ) but most staff are very helpful. There is a huge range of plants nd plant accessories. The cafe is yum and the whole place is well set out!

Just bought some Feijoa trees and was shocked to learn how many varieties there are, and that they stocked so many! Fab advice too!

I'm a small child among plants.  I'm no green fingered friend but occasionally I like to give it a try.    Like wee what's-his-name Charlie in Willy Wonka's factory, I make my way around Garden Centres with wide eyes and gob hanging half open.  It all looks so great, so 'alive'.  Five minutes with me, however, and most plants have withered to five seconds of their dear lives.  It's not my fault, I blame my urban childhood. So, after determining to create a herb garden (it's the very least I can do for climate change), I made a beeline for Kings Plant Barn.  They let me in the front door - I must not be on the Most Wanted Plant Criminals list yet - and gave me plenty of wonderful advice and care tips.  Bless them. I have managed to keep six of the ten herbs alive.  They're ALIVE! or rather 'still' alive.  I feel emboldened.  I want to dip my foot in small, pot-grown vegetables (such as tomatoes or wee hipster lettuce plants)...and I'm going to give it a try.  Just don't hold me responsible if it all goes horribly wrong.  I'll head back to Kings as long as they'll keep having me.

Lol at hipster lettuce plants...

I bought beetroot plants and a range of seeds here and they have all been really successful. I also found the people who work there to be helpful. They help you with the heavy bags of compost!

The plants here are well taken care of so I picked up a car-full of plants! I bought a varietydof veggie plants and flowers that were all very healthy and well priced.  The staff were very quite helpful as well.   Its been a short time but my garden is already looking stellar :)
