La Barca Italian Restaurant

There are some great seafood offerings at this restaurant in downtown Mount Maunganui. I personally recommend the Gamberi fritti - Tiger prawns & scampi served with a giardiniera salsa. Cooked to perfection they are a seafood party for your tastebuds and are offered in entree or mains size. They also do an awesome seafood chowder served with sourdough and fluffy chilli prawns.

I love this cute little restaurant at the Mount. Summer or winter the vibe is always cosy and it's a great place to share a quiet pasta or pizza and glass of wine for two. The prices are reasonable for a very satisfying meal, served in quick smart time. Parking is fairly easy and there are some outdoor tables if it's a warm summer's night.

I haven't been in a while but the last time I went it was beautifully delish! The chef came out and did by cracked Pepper too!
