Stock up on some great, out-of-the-ordinary games and puzzles, cook some pizza and cozy up at home for a good old-fashioned games night. Bonus: once you’ve made the investment you’ve got entertainment to see you right through winter.

    For such a small shop there is a surprising amount to discover and absorb yourself in. Fair warning though: some of the puzzles will test your patience. The shop-owner is friendly and engaging and the drive out there isn't half-bad either!

      Get off the beaten track and lose yourself in a world of good old-fashioned games and puzzles in the Hokianga. The owner, Louis Toorenburg, will offer up plenty of brain-teasing challenges while his pet peacock can be pretty entertaining too. Marvel at the life-size elephant statue rescued from Auckland Zoo, and try your luck in the maze.
