Just a few clicks north of Waipapa is Lake Manuwai. It’s a manmade irrigation dam, which was constructed to for Kerikeri’s horticultural population. While that sounds a bit dull it is absolutely spectacular and a place the whole family can enjoy. Rainbow trout are the main fish you’ll catch here which you can catch either off the shore or in a little rowing dingy (motors are prohibited!) Let dad catch dinner while mum and the kids sprawl out around the idyllic dam with a picnic - awesome!
