Lamason is one of Wellington's best kept coffee secrets. Tucked down an alley off Manners Street, lies the super cute siphon bar, serving up People's coffee prepared by your choice of brewing method. The perfect place to enjoy your caffiene hit in peace, away from the fast pace of the city streets!

The coolest little addition to the coolest capital! These guys do a really good coffee and delicious cheese scones and pinwheels. Be quick though, they sell out of their food items super quick because they're so popular.

BEST cheese scones, unbeatable.

Down an unassuming alley lies some of Wellingtons finest coffee, serving up and excellent cup of Peoples Coffee with siphons sitting at centre stage for all the filter coffee nerds that inhabit Wellington. Definitely a must visit for all coffee aficionados

If you want to ramp your caffeine addiction up a notch, head to Lamason for the next level in coffee. There are blends and brews here that you won't find anywhere else, in contraptions you might need help operating – just as well the staff are friendly and knowledgable. They serve People's Coffee.

These boys KNOW coffee ... if you do too , you'll love Lamason...if you don't, you need to try Lamason... That is all !

Hidden away on Lombard St, Lamason’s is easy to miss, but once you know it’s there, you’ll keep going back. Though it’s best known for its People’s Coffee and wide range of "soft-brew’ options, it also serves one of the best cheese scones in Wellington – though, with only a handful served each day, they sell out fast.

Hidden away on Lombard St, Lamason’s is easy to miss – but once you know it’s there, you’ll keep going back. Serving People’s Coffee and a small but delicious selection of scones and muffins, it’s got a wide range of "soft-brew" options, some of which resemble chemistry sets more than they do coffee pots. But the friendly staff are happy to help you broaden your horizons from your regular flat white.

Lamason’s cheese scones are probably the best you’ll find in Wellington, and an excellent accompaniment to their delicious Peoples Coffee.

Trying a new coffee brewing method can be a scary, overwhelming - even scientific (what IS a Chemex anyway?) - experience, but Dave Lamason and his team are welcoming and knowledgeable, and can teach you all you need to know about coffee and how to drink it. I highly recommend getting a siphon and watching it be made - it’s like magic!
