Lone Star Cafe & Bar Newmarket

This is about as close to the typical American chain restaurant as you can get. Country-western style decor, country music and massive portion sizes. The meals are even named after American superstars like Johnny Cash. It’s reasonably priced, the food is yummy and there’s not a chance you’ll go home feeling hungry. When you order the Lonestar loaf starter, you literally get a full-sized loaf of bread with garlic butter!

Came here for dinner and had a pretty good experience and good  time here - the menu was pretty good, nice variety of foods to choose from so can't complain. Atmosphere was definitely not serene as stated above, but more hustling and bustling.  A bit noisy at times and we had to yell to be heard in conversation.  Who knows, maybe it was just REALLY busy that night as there were a lot of patrons. Service was good and definitely above average - the food came out in a timely manner and cooked just to our liking as specified.  In fact the serving was bigger than expected and we needed to get a doggy bag ! Nice place and will be back - maybe on a quieter night mid-week.

Came here with a few girlfriends for dinner during the week a few months back. It wasn't so busy, which was nice. Quite quiet and great service. Ribs were good and everything satisfactory. Definitely would like to come again!

I loved the service and I found that Lone Star nailed all these factors Location. Characteristics. Welcome. Food service. Food. Environment (parking, restrooms, lighting). Smile factor. Time factor. And to sum it all up it was amazing  

Took a friend to Lone Star Newmarket on a Thursday around 7. We got a seat right away and the service was fantastic. Our meals came quickly and they were delicious and the portion sizes were huge! In fact the service was almost too good - our waitress came by many times to ask how things were going. All if the staff were friendly and attentive, the steak was tender and juicy and the atmosphere comfortable. Highly recommended.
