The sort of place your work Christmas party is held at so the few huge dudes can feed up large and not be racist towards the staff. Just kidding..... I think. Massive feed, the sort of place you would walk away from and go... well at least I don't need to eat again today. Friendly staff, they introduced themselves by name. Not cheap but I can't say it enough... big portions

I've frequented here a few times in my life. I enjoy the food, the atmosphere, friendly staff, and they also provide a good range of drinks, including cocktails (my fav!) They're not the speediest of outfits unfortunately - their biggest downfall . But if you're with a good group of friend and you enjoy a few cheekies - this probably won't be a problem for you at all.

These guys really TEXAN serving portions! Love the fact that they have big portions of food that is yummy! I had their pork ribs mm mmm! Lot better than I expected. They seem to have a good selction of things on the menu, mostly hearty food - awesome to go there on a cold winters night on an empty stomach! Their desserts and drinks are good to - worth a visit!

Busy night so service slow not sure waiting on tables s for everyone either that or they had a hangover

I love the size of the meal for your buck. So delicious! Really loud and hard to have a proper conversation on a date though :-P

Ordered rare, cooked perfect

I went there for dinner yesterday and when my meal came I was very disappointed that the steak had blue cheese on it (which I can't eat). I called on the waited to say that I ordered it with a different sauce and he explained that the sauce was indeed different but the steak has blue cheese on the top, regardless of the sauce. I quess I should've specified no blue cheese whatsoever (my bad) ...but he immediately offered to replace my meal. Two minutes later the waitress came to apologize for the mixup (even though it was my fault i wasnt clear). Everyone makes mistakes but as long as they're remedied in a dignified manner people generally don't mind. I really admire businesses that have customers at the center and recognize that even though the customer may not always be right he/she should never leave disappointed! Five stars for that.... P.S The food was great too :)

Went there with my huby and my littles. Great environment,friendly staffs. Felt little bit disappointed with the bread and dips, but the spare ribs were so tasty! Would love to go back again.

We usually go to the New Lynn Lone Star ( and love it) but some friends invited us in to meet them at their hotel nearby ( Quest) and wanted a restaurant suitable to take all the kids too.  I immediately thought of Lone Star. We had a great time, the staff are always so accommodating at Lone Star.  The cocktails are good and the meals are better ( well almost!).  We had a range of meals, all were big and tasty.  The kids enjoyed their night as much as the adults.
