Newmarket has a few fancy restaurants around, but none of them hold a candle to Lone Star when you're up for a king sized meal! It's a great place to catch up with some of the guys as it really hits the spot when there are 4 or 5 starving guys to think about. When the ladies also attend we usually have some doggy bags which make for a tasty lunch the next day. The midnight Nachos is awesome as is the Cowboy Bean Dip (at least that's what I remember them being called!). The service is as excellent as at all the Lone Stars I've been to and we always leave seriously full and with smiles all around.
Lone Star is the kind of restaurant families enjoy. It's really all about steaks, burgers and fries. They dish out pretty large portions and the ambiance is great. The times I've gone there it's always been jam packed. The waiters are friendly and make you feel at home. However, I'm not uber impressed with their dishes, my lamb dish tasted a bit bland the the vegetables seemed to be microwaved.
