Loretta serves continually as does our sister restaurant Floriditas; we are a casual but smart eatery, with a small exceptional wine list, that provides everything by the glass. Our menu emphasis and focus is on fresh, seasonal, delicious food, lots of vegetables and grains. A casual style of dining. We have a strong focus on sourcing the best and regional, national and boutique supplies, also producing the majority of what we serve ourselves in our own kitchens.

Loretta is (relatively) new to wellington, and has brought with it the trendy, minimalist vibe that other local dining destinations are decidedly lacking. The menu layouts are creative and interesting, the food is superb, and the aesthetic only adds to the dining experience. Love that green juice too! Perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

I’ve been waiting for all the hype around this place to die down, so that maybe there are not so many people in Lorettas all the time. But it shows no signs of waning, mainly cause the menu is on point, seasonal and well put together. Their menu uses only the freshest produce, and not one person will be unaccounted for. From the classic eggs and bacon to more fanciful dishes, it all sounds mouth wateringly awesome! Highly advised brunching, I feel like this is probably the peoples favourite currently, but you should go and taste all the food for yourself and make up your own mind on this…

The establishments on this list are placed in no particular order - apart from Loretta. They deserve to be in first place for as many reasons as they have menu items. Waffles with blueberry syrup and coconut yoghurt is one of those vaild reasons; as is the beef brisket and cavolo nero pie with lemon; and the roast cauliflower, broccoli, spinach and sunflower seed salad is a more than worthy reason why Loretta trumps this list. Actually, you can view all of these unique reasons on their special World of Wearable Arts menu, here: http://www.loretta.net.nz/assets/menus/menu-25.09.14W.pdf
