Mac's Fish is a popular fish and chip shop located in Timaru. Serving what their many loyal customers say are the finest fish and chips in town (some even say the best in NZ), their fish is bought directly from fishing boats rather than wholesalers, then filleted onsite and cooked to order.

Choose from whatever comes in fresh each day, with regular options including tarakihi, blue cod, lemon sole and gurnard. Lightly battered and served up by friendly staff, grab their reasonably priced family pack which includes 4 pieces of fish, 4 hot dogs and a large portion of their delicious chips.

Mac’s Fish is a favourite fish and chips shop. Not only are their fish fresh and delicious, but their fries are some of the best. Not too thin and not too thick, their chips are always perfectly cooked.

    Macs Fish Timaru has new owners (as of September 2014), but never fear! The seafood is still as fresh and delicious as ever. Expect your battered fish to come straight from the ocean to the boat, to the deep frier and on to your plate. It’s the finest fresh food deliciously prepared in South Timaru!

      Timaru’s favourite fish and chip shop, Mac’s Fish is a doozy. This place has it all, amazing service, food, atmosphere and value for money. The chips are perfectly cooked and if you’re not into fish then the burgers are well worth a try.
