Beautiful views

    Great place to walk your dogs, on leash or off leash. Friendly environment. Love it

            One of the best dog off-leash exercise spots in Auckland.

              This place is WILD and windswept, and easy to find along Meola Road. Just park amongst the flax and release the dog to run helter skelter along this long length of ancient lava flow that juts out into the harbour.

                There is always a pup party going on in the off-leash dog area at Meola Reef Reserve, where your furry friends can run wild through the bush and through the grass to their hearts’ content. It can get muddy when it rains but for dogs that just adds to the fun, and for humans it’s not too far to some stellar cafes for a brunch or coffee post-run.

                  Tucked in around the back of Westmere, Meola Reef Reserve is a quiet park area with a handy off-leash area for dogs. That said, it's great for a walk with or without a canine buddy in tow.

                    My dog loves to come here and run free with other dogs.
