Mercy Hospice Shop - Ellerslie

This is one of the bigger hospice stores and generally has a good selection. I've found many a bargain here and they often have exactly what you're looking for.  There are two parts and it's definitely worth checking downstairs which is a bit cheaper.  I've always found the staff to be really friendly too.  Keep an eye out for their sale items!  

Had some time to kill in Ellerslie today so decided to visit the local op shop. The furniture selection downstairs was great and we found some good baby clothes. The staff were all very friendly too. The bric a brac and clothing upstairs are definitely on the pricey side - although pretty good quality. Very lacking in the mens clothing compared to the huge range of ladies wear. 

Great place to grab books and donate to a worthy charity. However 4 steep steps up and then another 4 steps to get the the cashier it isnt at all pushchair or wheel chair friendly. There is a lot of clothes but the prices are high for used clothing. Books are great though and most of the staff are very friendly. Clean and an area for the children to play.

Large, clean and well organised. A good mix of clothes and household items. Be sure not to miss the furniture and housewares shop at the separate entrance down the back.

There is love in this shop.  The staff take the time to make interesting displays and it is clean and bright (unlike some other opportunity shops).  I believe Hospice is an awesome cause and I hope that many more people discover this gem.  

I found a great pair of shoes here once and showed them to my mum. She lives in the area and now goes to the Ellerslie Hospice shop at least twice a week. The store continually has new things on offer and does a great job at their window displays too.
