With their funky, Cuba-esque decor and vibrant, upbeat feel - this cafe is one that will put a smile on your dial! Midnight Espresso are open until late daily so that customers can pop in and enjoy their amazing variety of generously sliced cakes, slices, sweets and treats.

We can't forget to mention that they cater for all foodies - some of the best gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan food in in town is pumped out from this spot. Pop in and grab yourself a Havana coffee from the smiley team at Midnight Espresso.

New to the city and - introduced to probably the best Cafe on the block - Food exceptional even though no meat. 

    Yup, that's right! These guys usually have wonderfully delicious vegan afghans around. Great coffee as well.

      A Wellington institution serving up Havana Coffee, heaps of vegetarian and vegan counter and menu food, and a whole lot of cake! The nachos are some of Wellington’s best (and biggest)!

        This cult Wellington cafe might be best known for its cakes, but its take on fries is pretty impressive too. This huge serving of roasted chunks of potato and kumara is best shared between two.

          It doesn’t have to be midnight to enjoy Midnight on Cuba. The icon of Wellington serves up mainly fresh vegan and vegetarian food to the masses. It’s also a great place to just watch the world go by with a late night coffee and a copy of Kafka.

            Midnight has a few different pinball machines on semi-regular rotation in their taught little haunt of a cafe. They have the Twilight Zone one. Which is like an all time Pinball classic. Keep ‘em peeled for that one.

              This place is open until the wee hours of the morning and it’s a great place to go if you’ve got a late night craving for something sweet and delicious. It’s always great people watching too.

                As the name says so itself, this little Wellington hot-spot is open until past midnight, till 3am seven days a week. Famous for its great range of gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options it’s a great place for all to stop by for a late night snack. A huge favourite of mine is the caramel slice. Thick thumb sized layers of chocolate biscuit, caramel and chocolate icing its both delightful and decadent as anything.

                  This entry on the list is for the ex-smokers as there is no real smoking area at Midnight Espresso. There is, however, the seats by the front window through which much toxic, delicious smoke from near-by congregated smokers has been known to waft. It’s a good middle step (and also a great place to people watch) towards being free of the demon tobacco.

                    Under cold/wet weather, cakes and biscuits are a preferred treat. Midnight usually has an interesting array, plus you know you can bring your vegan friend along and they’ll be able to pig out on something as well.
