Hop on down to Vetro in Ahuriri and pick up one of Paolo most delicious freshly baked Italian-styled breads – they often change however the savoury parmedana and sage shortbread was out of this world. The goods are on the counter most weekends, but a warning to late risers – get in early because they run out the door.

    In true innovative Hawke’s Bay style a great chef couples with a great winery. Paolo Pancotti and partner Sass Russell team up to serve an intimate dinner at award-winning Trinity Hill Wines. Great food, great wine and who knows who you will sit next to, but you will need to book.

      Our much-loved chef, Paolo Pancotti is sharing his food-love through the freezer and counter at Vetro Mediterranean Foods, in Ahuriri, Napier. True Italian food –lamb shanks, pork ribs, pannacotta with berries, tiramisu, fresh breads and rolls… yum, yum, yum.

        Paolo Pancotti, is the man behind pop-up restaurant, Molto Italian Kitchen, at Red Barrel Winery. Italian food is in this man's blood and in true Italian style his family is right behind him. An award-winning chef, with a long international pedigree, Paolo offers a blend of true Italian cuisine and what Hawke's Bay does best, fresh local produce in season. But, you are going to have to wait until spring to taste it when the restaurant reopens.
