Such a great selection for a fish'n'chip shop, get there!

Fancy FnC has taken quite a while to make its way to this city so we’re lucky that it’s done it finally with so much style. It may be a bit smug but with noms this good, you’d be a bit smug too.

Aside from the incredible fish they serve, these guys do an amazing selection of fries - chunky, skinny, crinkly, the list goes on. A small box of them is pretty huge as well. Tasty + value for money = Eureka!

BEST FISH N CHIPS!!!!! Love their special and kumura chips!!!

Definitely no ordinary fish and chip shop.  There is a big blackboard to help you out with your order.  First you pick your fish, then you pick your batter - if you're not into batter, no worries, you can have the fish grilled.  Then it's the hardest choice for last, the chips - kumara fries, shoe string, handcut Agria, the choices seem endless.  But I finally settled on the Agria and sat down at the table to read one of the mags, I think it was Mindfood, I was happy it wasn't a Woman's Day.  The deep fried goodies were then packed into a cute little box and we went to a sunny spot up the road to scoff them down.  Try their slaw, which has a yummy hit of lemon pepper that goes perfectly with the fish!  Bring on summer for more fish and chips in the sun!

Who knew fish and chips could be so complex? Choose your fish (obviously), your chips (less obvious) and your batter (freakin’ awesome). The agria chips are sensational, whilst I’d recommend getting whichever fish you go for tempura-style. Definitely worth the extra dollar or two. No longer will we accept greasy fish and oily chips; like every other food genre, the humble old chippy has had to evolve to fit our needs and fads. Expect to see then, therefore, an ever-changing, seasonal menu reflective on what’s been caught that day. Even have your Akaroa salmon fillet grilled; how gourmet is that.

This is the best fish & chips shop in the greater Wellington region. The range of fish and crumbing/battering techniques is outstanding, as is the selection of different types of potato chips. Finally, the fish & chip shop we deserve as a city.

This new kid on Majoribanks Street is booming, with a menu including both standard and gourmet fish and chips options, plus salads, burgers and much more. Excellent chips, and the slaw is killer.
