Newly opened Nando's restaurant in Ponsonby, clean, tidy with nice modern decor. We have friendly staff and provide great service. We specialize in Peri Peri Flame Grilled Chicken, which has been marinated for 24 hours, all chicken is fresh, with excess fat removed. It is a very healthy choice. We are a fully licensed restaurant stocking a good variety of beer and wine. We offer BYO on wine only. Child friendly restaurant, suitable for families and groups, with seating for up to 72 people. Free off street parking, 100m down from the restaurant, also free street parking.

Best way to get a solid protein hit after training with minimal fat intake

    The X Factor judge Mel Blatt called it the ‘best Nando’s in the world’ on Twitter this week - not having visited that many I can’t vouch for that - and effectively put Nando’s Ponsonby on the must visit map. I will say that it does have great staff and is always sparkling clean though, and the food on offer is amongst the healthiest takeaway fare available. The best in the world it just may be…

      Thank you Helena for the comment. We take a lot of pride in our restaurant, and try our hardest to keep everything at a high standard. By doing this we have been named the best Nandos in New Zealand. So if you haven't been in to dine with us yet come along and see if you agree that we have the X factor hehe.

      Been going here for about a year now and it's definitely one of the best branches in NZ. Clean good service with a smile.  More nice seating in the back. If you haven't tried them you should definitely do that.  Being South African myself (like this franchise) I was worried that they don't do the original SA ones justice so this one comes closest

        I love Nando's I really do. Ever since I left England I have been searching for a Nando's restuarant but found that they were always of the mark or simply to expensive. You coould see how happy I was when I found the Nando's on Ponsonby road have a cheap sunday lunch time special. As I was drinking the night before I took the opportunity to try it out ( hangover cure ) I loved it. The nando's on Ponsonby has got it right, forst off the women behind the counter was great, the food was FAST and red hot, it was perfect and for under $20 for 2 meals and drinks. I will be going back on a sunday again!!!     

          The newly open ponsonby branch has a good ten dollar lunch special. Of course I get the spiciest flavour of sauce you can get and boy is it good! The chicken is cooked perfectly every time and it’s got a good vibe inside. Choice lunch spot.

            we went as a family to nandos after the movies one night. it wasnt too bad, nandos in other locations seem a little omore up market but they still deliver, the food is incredable, the service is fast and they have smiles from ear to ear.

              Just ordered 14 dish's to take away, not only was the order on time, but was actually all in order when we got back to the office!  Great work and will be back for more

                This place is only 3 weeks old and I'm sitting here right now enjoying an espetada meal. Nice to finally come to a Nandos where the food still tastes great. Very clean and everything just looks so new - I'm discovering peri-peri all over again!
