Scones were incorrectly priced- Alison would not take responsibility to change the label as not her job. She should have seeked authority as advised by her supervisor but she held firm it ok to leave the scones with the wrong label and over charge. No customer service or ownership to correct the problem. Now another customer will pay double the price just because staff can’t be bothered! Shame.
New World Orewa is one of New World’s better stores and is on par with Albany. The store itself is well laid out and easy to find things, unlike other stores such as Countdown! The store is huge and has everything you would expect, plus more. Fresh fruit and vegetables are great and the only time I had a problem, it was rectified within 5 minutes. Great customer service right there! All members of staff are smiling and are only too happy to assist you. Self-Checkouts make it so much easier to grab those few items you forgot during the big weekly shop. The checkouts are so easy to use. Opening hours are impressive and the store always looks festive during the summer months.
New World Orewa is a good supermarket for the occasional shop with a good layout making it easy to find what you want. The staff are friendly and helpful and make it easy to find anything you are struggling to find yourself. The self service checkout makes it very easy to get in and out very quickly, although the prices are expensive it is a good store.
