awesome cafe

Serves organic gluten food

We popped in here for a weekend brunch, and the food was amazing. The serving sizes were huge - neither my husband or I could finish our meal. I ordered the brioche french toast, which came with poached rhubarb and bacon - it was delicious. My husband ordered the big breakfast, which they happily swapped things around to make vegetarian, and his plate was giant - and all very tasty. The staff were very friendly, would happily return.

awesome place i eat there regularly fab Baked Beans i want the recipe!!!

This place used to be “next door” to Bowmans restaurant as separate premises but recently pulled into the same place, with Next Door now being the day cafe to Bowmans at night. Food still awesome, love the home-made baked beans, and some of the best poached eggs in town, but some if the atmosphere now lost - where has the Dukes of Hazard fridge gone? Still recommend for a lunchtime nosh though.

YES i was wondering about the Dukes of hazards fridge!!!

Went here for breakfast after a late night out previously.... breakfast ended up being lunch.  You know how it goes.  Lovely outdoors area.  I was very excited when I discovered that they sold SPIDERS (with Phoenix cola and real vanilla icecream.)  Also had amazing fish and chips - the fish tasted so fresh.  Am-a-zing. Great place to chill in the sun.  Make sure you grab the spider...

Next Door has a great breakfast menu and a good coffee too. It is a little bit further out of town that the other Mt Eden cafes- but that ensures easy parking! The furniture is cute and the staff are on to it.

I was lucky to stumbled upon this retro-themed cafe over the weekend.   It doesn't look like much from the outside but as you step in it starts to take life.  There is also seating in the back if you want to catch some rays.

Great environment for a cafe - had a super yum chicken salad. Good coffee! I really like their old record table numbers and the service was good too!

We have been there for breakfast twice now and the food only gets better! The coffee is consistently well made and the staff are really nice. The sheltered outdoor seating is great when the wind is chilly but the sun is shining. Will definitely be making this our regular weekend brunch spot! :)
