Made my list a few months back as one of Rotorua’s best Italian restaurants, and it also makes this list as one of the best pizza restaurants too. This is creeping a little closer to fine dining at around the $20 mark for a pizza, but it is worth every carefully-considered bite. I particularly love the Brilli-peri, with parma ham, gorgonzola, walnuts, tomato and rocket.

    Nuvolari has that perfect mix of ambience, delicious food and great staff. They specialise in traditional Italian with a twist. You can order from their huge menu of share plates, pizza, pasta or mains. Last time I went we orders the lamb and the scallops, both were out of this world!

      The best things about Nuvolari are the location (at the lake-end), the decor, and the amazing pizza! I’ve only ever had pizza here, but that’s because their pizzas are so damn good! The Musso pizza with a selection of Italian meats and the Agostini pizza with salmon and capers are my two favourites. The rest of the menu looks amazing and my friends are always happy with their meals, so pop in and give it a try… let me know how you enjoy it!
