Okura Reserve is a great place to come to feel like you've escaped to the country and enjoy some fresh air. It's just north of Long Bay and features newly upgraded walking and cycling tracks which take about an hour to traverse. You can walk among kauri trees and native orchids, along an estuary or to a restored 1850s cottage.

Bring a picnic to enjoy in the sunshine, take the dog for a walk or bring the children to enjoy the well-equipped playground which features a flying fox that's situated on a hill and a pretty quick ride.
