On Valentine's Day, 1973, Colin Haines opened Ollies in Royal Oak - an American-style diner serving sumptuous burgers, heavenly sundaes, amazing shakes and delicious ice cream.

Nowadays, Colin is still world-famous in Royal Oak as the man at the helm of this great institution of delicious diner treats.

Head to Ollies - with friends, with family or with a date - and grab one of their tasty burgers, great when followed with one of their legendary sundaes.

Ice cream ice cream ice cream! In so many flavours!!

    In case if ice cream cannot get you happy - Get a Burger at the same time!

      If you’re looking for an amazing milkshake - look no further than Ollies. This bastion of dairy deliciousness shines out over the royal oak roundabout - taunting me every time I drive past. You can combine their exhaustive list of ice cream flavours to make some delightful concoctions.

        Reminds me of my childhood when you'd just walk into most dairies and order an ice-cream cone for $1 - oh those were the days. Although you won't find anything here for $1, it's still good value for money for the large scoops. They basically do milkshakes, ice-cream scoops, burgers and hotdogs- so it's very American. They won't win any foodie awards (or even any takeaway awards), but it's a great little place to try on a hot day when you're in the area.

          A local institution, this place is fitted out diner styles and has a really fun atmosphere. Great for a classic ice cream sundae or shake - especially if you want a late night sugar fix!

            You can’t go wrong with ollies… Classic Royal Oak! Loyal to the royal!

              For as long as I can remember my parents took me to Ollies for ice cream as a special treat. The establishment has a retro vibe which is due to the fact that it has probably never been renovated! The shop serves Tip Top ice cream and they are extremely generous with their servings. I tend to get a chocolate dipped goody goody gum drops cone, delicious.

                  Cannot even count how many times I've visited Ollies this summer! Nothing beats a good ice cream on a hot day!

                    New favours all the time, exciting lavish desserts and treats, friendly staff, classic diner style establishment - and ice cream! What wouldn’t be to love! A must do this summer!
