This is such a fun activity. It's also flat enough that it's not too much of a struggle. My favourite thing to do is take a yum lunch and sit on taumarere bridge to eat it. The view is awesome!

    This is an absolute treasure of an activity, it's one that even locals get excited about. Grab your bike and start peddling the old vintage rail trail either starting in Opua or Kawakawa. The track is flat and easy going, you can ride two-abreast and there's a spooky old railway tunnel that you have to cycle through in the dark. It's so easy that even young children could do it. The whole thing is 14km return. Highly recommended!
