Otago Peninsula has been named twice as one of the top ten rides in the world by Lonely Planet.

With a stellar recommendation like that, why wouldn't you try it? With the harbour roads providing flat riding and beautiful scenery for riders of all abilities, there's also the chance to go off-road and really see and ride the back country for yourself.

        The place I like to go to chill out is the Otago Peninsula. The best place in the South Island to view the impressive array of wildlife: go and check out the albratross, fur seals and sea lions. I like to take a tour along the ocean or head inland a bit to see the lovely flora.

          Grab a bike and cycle around the beautiful Otago Peninsula. The surrounding landscape is stunning and best viewed on a mountain bike (be warned, the tracks get bumpy!). Enjoy the views of the ocean - they're spectacular.
