Pakiri Beach is close enough to Auckland to make it a perfect day trip, or weekend getaway, yet far enough away that you are completely removed from the cities hustle and bustle.

The pristine white sand beaches are only disturbed by the tide coming in and going out, or by the horses plodding up and down the coastline.

With over 9kms of sandy seashore to to explore you will be able to find your own perfect spot away from the crowds that can often be drawn here during summer.

We were married on this beach so it is always visited on our anniversary. This place is such an untouched paradise and just that little harder to get to to keep the crowds away! Such an amazing destination!!

    One of my favourite places to go that’s not too far from Auckland but pleasantly far enough that it feels like a holiday is Pakiri Beach. As well as the horse rides and surfing to occupy your time it is close enough to Leigh to grab coffee and pizza at the Sawmill, and if you come for a weekend then you can’t pass through the Matakana markets without making a stop.
