Outdoors and great views

I love going to Parnell Rose Gardens and having a slow stroll ... checking out the roses, beautiful huge old trees and meandering paths.  Walking down to Judges Bay and back up gives you a bit of exercise. If you've got the kids they'll love playing on the massive old trees and afterwards you can go on over to the playground across the road.  Lovely weekend outing.

Get outside and smell the roses – its spring! Perhaps one of the most romantic seasons in the year and there is nothing more romantic than roses. Walk hand in hand with your loved one and soak up the sunshine, a stroll through the Parnell Rose Gardens is sure to have you both seeing love hearts and rainbows. Pack a picnic and tell her how much she means to you – this is the perfect Sunday date location.

Parnell in itself is a lovely suburb, but if you really want to make the most of it then visit the Rose Gardens. I came here on Valentine’s Day which was really cute and there were heaps of other couples around enjoying the pleasant sights and aromas that is the Rose Gardens. Tip: the roses are in full bloom between October and April to get the maximum potential of the flowers if you wish to visit! These gardens are open at all times to the public and the ‘white garden’ is available for venues such as weddings.
