I renewed my love for this establishment just recently and it was such a wonderful experience. I went and had a coffee date and we both shared a lemon tart and a caramel slice; it one of the best morning teas of my life, yes because of the food! There’s something about the coffee that’s different from everywhere else, more authentic maybe! I also had a roasted red pepper baguette and it was divine!

Petit Paris is a chocolate lovers heaven, whether it’s the much loved (and my favourite) chocolate tart, or their delicious éclair’s, there is definitely something everyone will love guaranteed. Easter is just around the corner, so at the moment they’re getting their eggs ready for all the drooling customers! Pick up a creamy hot chocolate or coffee and make sure to grab an Easter egg while they’re here!

I like to think that it’s pretty common knowledge that the French know their food, and Petit Paris confirms this. Even walking past the place you can smell the aroma smouldering out of it. The amount of breads and patisseries they make each day is insane; they must be up at 3am! Another one of my guilty pleasures are citrus desserts and oh my goodness, their ‘La Tarte Citron’ with lemon curd is to die for, I could literally die happy after eating it. Give them 4 to 5 days’ notice and they can prepare you the most luxurious cake for any special occasion.

Yummo

Love it !

This is one of my favourite places to go when I've been shopping at Centre City too long and I need a little coffee break! It's really nice when the sun is shining and you can sit outside. Great for being social too because so many people walk past! Fav cabinet item = any of the tarts. They are sooo delicious and a real guilty pleasure. And best of all, they can deliver their delicious tarts straight to your office :)

best lemon tarts in the world

Bienvenue! Petit Paris is New Plymouth’s little slice of Paris, a Francophile’s paradise. Owned and operated by French natives, this place is excellente! The locally roasted Ozone coffee is consistently excellent, and the breads and pastries here are to die for. A great place to pop into in the morning to have a cappuccino and a croissant to start your day. You can sit in the window and people watch, or chat to any of the friendly staff.
